And for anybody who loves mountains like the Appalachians and the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Chincoteague Pony Races, historic sites, beaches, rivers, it's all here. And there's a lot of LOVE, too! The state is really getting into their motto with LOVE artwork all over the state.

Unfortunately, we are only spending ONE night here at the RV park where we landed today, about 185 miles from Sevierville, TN. We are at the Fort Chiswell RV Park in Max Meadows, Virginia. Exit 80 off I-81, which was our route for most of today. Easy off, easy on, not much noise from the highway, about .4 mile from the interstate. Eighty pull thru sites, sixty with 50 amp service....Cable TV, laundry, showers and restrooms, free wi-fi, fairly fast, and 4G, full bars on the AT & T cell phones, Verizon Mi-fi signal 3 bars, but it's really slow. For the kids there is a heated pool, and a fishing pond with bass and catfish. The park has mostly gravel sites but a few concrete pads. If you don't have a neighbor next to you, you have plenty of room. If they put someone next to you, then it's very very close together! The only problem we had at this park was the sewer was clogged down an entire line where we were situated, and we had planned on dumping. We managed to get our black tank dumped down the sewer before it just quit accepting any more fluids....The park was very responsive about trying to fix it but hours later, the problem was still ongoing, so they called for outside help. Nice park, very friendly and helpful staff....Here is another view of the gravel sites...

We wanted to see how the kids did traveling in the motorhome, so we took a shorter drive today. The kids did great--no squabbling. Trevor got to be co-pilot for awhile. He is contemplating something, no doubt, like what to do with a sister who bugs him now and then. Thank goodness for electronics even though they sometimes seem to occupy the kids TOO much!

Tomorrow, we head north, continuing towards Hershey, Pennsylvania--home of THE chocolate company. Cate and Grandma Sparky are looking forward to a factory tour, right Eldo? (Does this mean stocking up on all kinds of Hershey bars and candy? wonders E. Like what we did at the M & M store? We had so many flavors and colors of M & M's that they fell out when we opened the cupboard doors!) Well, not quite....but chocolate is good for you! M-m-m-m-m, my mouth is watering just thinking about Hershey bars....YUM! (And WHAT ARE YOU THINKING, WOMAN, SUGARING UP THESE KIDS!!??) Aw-w-w-w, we'll parcel it out and use it for bribes, Sparky's got it all figured out!  See you on the road!
