Very interesting. I was surprised about the skin cancer. But I'm pretty skeptical of statistics. They are only as good as the data collected. Pretty easy to lie with them. I'm married to a statistician who knows about it first hand. So I'm not sure I buy that one. But the sinkholes are scary. Not sure I'd buy a house in Florida although I suppose I could have the ground go out from under my campsite just as easily. "Woman dies in sitting in dining booth in RV as Sinkhole Collapses". Ok, so would you research other places to spend the winters where there is water to kayak in and almost no freezing temperatures without having to go into Mexico??? Some nice springs would be good too. I'll be looking for that post soon!!

Sherryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00328866430156879312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8625049441358125186.post-72647944632740383992013-06-01T09:33:56.806-04:002013-06-01T09:33:56.806-04:00Okay - I'm not sure the tourist industry is go...Okay - I'm not sure the tourist industry is going to appreciate this post. lol I don't care where you are - there are going to be dangerous mother nature type things. They're everywhere. But I must admit - the hearing aids were one I would never have thought of. Sinkholes & hurricanes are at the top of the list for me, followed by sharks and all those big snakes. It sounds like gators are similar to black bears in that if you don't feed them or bother them they will usually not bother you, unless you're a little yappy dog or a small child. Who would leave their small child out where there are gators? I can't imagine even leaving a yappy dog out in those areas.

You are probably at the top of the Chamber of Commerce list as a troublemaker, lol.
