I can imagine how you felt, though. Anyway... the walls look great. You are doing a lot of work and it will definitely pay off as you enjoy all your rooms.

One time I painted a tiny bathroom, my only one, and I wanted a very pale pink. I had beautiful wallpaper I was putting up that had vertical lines and vines and little flowers, all in a light grey, light pink and white. Very pretty, sophisticated/girly kind of paper. When I started painting, it looked like Bazooka Bubble Gum going on the walls. Instead of stopping, I finished the room, thinking it would probably lighten up when it dried. NOT! It was awful, but I was DONE.

Later, when I sold the place, I heard potential buyers asking their agents, "Why would anyone paint their bathroom this color?" LOL

Trust me, your blue guest bedroom is beautiful. :)Barbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16516591720277269204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8625049441358125186.post-85167470359225200882013-08-10T15:11:35.339-04:002013-08-10T15:11:35.339-04:00Those tiles look great. I have tried everything to get that out to no avail. I think you'll have better luck with the latex. The shop vac is a great idea. But that's probably in storage too right? I've seen them do it before and it's amazing. I have a steam cleaner that puts water down and then sucks it out. I'll bet with a hundred or so passes, the paint might come out.

I love the pretty color, but not so much on the carpet. I hate picking paint colors because they never look like what I have in my mind.

I'm trying to remember what I used to clean my grout with that worked pretty well. I'm thinking vinegar and baking soda. You still have to get down on your knees, but it might be a little faster.

Glad Eldy was able to fix the sprinkler system. One thing about being a homeowner, is it forces you to learn how to do things yourself.
