Papa Gets the Job Done!

Sarasota, FL        High:   82     Low:   67

The parents went off to dinner this evening, and the five kids were to occupy themselves on the jumping pad or play mini golf or hang out at home. The two oldest girls are more than capable of babysitting the younger ones, the youngest being six. They decided to play putt putt golf. They needed an adult to check out the putt putt equipment (free) so Papa and Sparky were on the scene to help.

Papa is the guy you want to have around with five children playing putt putt, arguing about who's turn it is, dilly dallying while others are waiting to play, whose ball is whose, etc. etc. He quickly took charge, barking (not really) directions--"NEXT!"  "OK, c'mon, let's get going, people are waiting!"  "NEXT!"
That worked really well. So well, that Sparky headed home to do a few things while Eldy took care of herding the kids through the 18 hole putt putt course. It's not much of a course, not much of a challenge, but hey, it's free to guests of the park and the kids seemed to enjoy it.
We've got more fun things coming up in the next couple of days. Can't wait to write about them and post! A Wine and Balloon Festival this coming weekend, a trip to Legoland if the weather cooperates...We'll see you later!

P.S. I did two things on the blog to reduce spam that have really worked:  1) blocked anonymous comments, that helped some...2) checked the box that says, "allow only registered users to make comments"...That REALLY knocked off the spam flow of comments which were getting quite heavy and numerous. Sorry if that has made it difficult for some readers who are not registered with Google to leave comments. You can always email if you'd like to comment.

  1. You are just having too much fun there.
We had to stop anonymous comments as well.

  2. Thanks for adding the tip on blocking the spam comments. It was getting way out of control for me too. Have fun on your adventures with the kids.

  4. Yeah, it seemed everyone is getting the spam thing. I blocked anonymous, and moderate after 5 days, and that has knocked them out. I hope Google doesn't drop blogger though :(
