Movin' On to Rayford Crossing

Our corner site at Rayford

Had to get ready for the pretty long trip today...Five miles..that's the shortest move we have ever made. :-) Since we are spending another four weeks in Spring TX waiting for the baby, we wanted to have a little more room, a little more opportunity for getting exercise on our bikes, and a little more chance of cooling down at a pool or a clubhouse.
Rayford Crossing, Spring, TX, has all that. The monthly rate is 570.00, under our budget, and you get a LOT for your money....fast, free wi-fi, roomy spacious sites, full hookups and LOTS of amenities.....115 sites, some fully furnished cabins, activities, close to shopping and malls, mail accepted....The drawback? You pay electric when you are here for the month...that could be expensive with June being in the nineties mostly.

Some of the premium sites have deluxe patio furniture, umbrella included and an outdoor grill already provided....
Here's a starter list of what the park offers: some extra long pull thru sites, concrete streets and sites, free Direct TV, free wi-fi, granite and stone showers, beautiful laundry facilities.....
laundry waiting area
rustic walking trails, convenience store and gift shop on the premises...beautiful landscaping....
entrance to the clubhouse

Game room, workout room.....

Library with FREE DSL..... These are computer stations for you to use for your laptop....

playgrounds, pet park, fishing pond....and wonderful seating areas under the clubhouse portico with ceiling fans to boot!
And here's the boot! :-)  There are two of them on the porch.....
This is a great place to hurry up and wait for the grandbaby..I think I will head out to the pool....
Or maybe just sit at one of the patio chairs at the clubhouse today and read the newspaper......
play a little shuffleboard....or not! It's not really my thing...(me, neither says E.)
Sit in the hot tub? Sounds good......

Something tells me it will be a lot easier sitting in a park with things to do right here at Rayford Crossing, than staying where we were at Spring Oaks where there was nothing to do and no place to go except out into the heavy traffic to get anywhere. Here, we can ride our bikes outside the park along back country roads without worrying about traffic. Although it's back into a country setting a little bit, which makes it very tranquil, we are closer to highway 45 than we were before and closer to the beautiful Woodlands area. Jimmy Buffett is going to be at the Woodlands this weekend! Bet that will be a mob...We looked at tickets, but they are expensive and it's a sold out concert.

It's a beautiful setting here at Rayford Crossing, and we are liking it already. It looks like the baby is at least a week or two away still, so we've got time to explore. Yay! We are thinking about going to a free concert at Herman Park, downtown Houston this evening, but there is also a Summerfest going on, and it might be a nightmare getting around and parking down there....we'll see! Can't beat FREE! :-)

  1. Looks like a nice place to hang out for a month, watch that electric bill can really get pretty high.
And FREE is that four letter word that Rv'ers seem to like use a lot.

  3. Now this looks like a place I might be able to spend 2 months. Clearly I should have asked you to find me a park near Tampa. Sure sorry I didn't.
